STACC focuses on developing in-house data science and analytics competence and translates this competence into business value for its customers. We have defined four strategic development areas according to business application domains.
The objective of the strategic development area is to develop real-time predictive data analysis methods to optimize large-scale software systems by using information from logs and data streams. The research involves optimizing software systems and business processes as well as developing recommender systems.
The objective of the strategic development area is to develop and study the applicability of privacy-preserving data processing methods, increase their usability and performance, and develop new secure methods, including research of secure data processing environments; formal security analysis of cryptographic protocols; evaluation of the security of electronic identity solutions, examination of their applications (including electronic voting) and increasing the transparency of the applications.
In this strategic development area, we focus on developing techniques and algorithms necessary for spatio-temporal data mining. Spatio-temporal data includes valuable information about location and movements that can be utilized in multiple areas, such as marketing, smart city solutions, safety and security areas, just to name a few.
The objective of the strategic development area is to develop IT solutions for evidence-based healthcare that is based on health data (including genetic data) and data analytics. This includes creating a secure and well-structured infrastructure for data and analytics, conducting epidemiological studies and other clinically relevant analyses along with creating the necessary software and developing IT components for personalized medicine necessary for clinical implementation.
